                   Douglas E. White received his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School in 1974, having obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technological Institute of Northwestern University in 1968.

 

                   Mr. White next spent several years as Assistant Attorney General of Pennsylvania, where his responsibilities included advising the Governor concerning the technical aspects of nuclear power plant regulation and water pollution control.  In 1981, he was registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in patent cases.  Since then, he has specialized in intellectual property law, with an emphasis on trademark registration.  He is a member of the Bars of California and Pennsylvania.

 

                   Mr. White was selected to participate in the American Bar Association's prestigious International Legal Exchange Program.  The ABA sent him to New Zealand, where he counseled local patent and trademark attorneys on U.S. patent and trademark law.  He then promoted the program among foreign law firms during visits to all major Pacific Rim countries.

 

                   Mr. White has advised clients with respect to numerous U.S. and foreign trademark applications concerning a wide variety of products and services.  He has testified as an expert witness in trademark litigation and lectured on intellectual property law.  In 1985, he founded the Acronational® Trademark Law Firm, which has offices in Orinda and San Francisco, California.
